These boxes are made from several layers of seasoned hardwood laminated to form a  solid block. The basic shape is cut from the block using a bandsaw, as are the drawers. Many hours of sanding go into shaping and finishing the final product.
Because the outside surfaces of these boxes are formed from the edges of several carefully matched boards, beautiful patterns emerge in the finished wood. Oiled to bring out the natural beauty of the grain, then waxed for a final subtle sheen, the flowing organic shapes of these boxes are as beautiful to touch as they are to the eye.
